The many, many Animals of the Disney Multiverse often speak in a mysterious language, which is also known to Appliances, hence being called Animal-Appliance. This magical tung is capable of sounding nothing like language to any outsiders, sounding instead like whatever sounds a mundane example of that creature would produce. Thus, it makes an excellent code on missions. Outsiders will need an enchantment to understand Animal-Appliance if needed (as demonstrated by Merlin in Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom). Remy, Pongo & Perdita, Tramp, Toaster and others are fluent speakers of this language.
Notes[]
- Natively, animals in The Rescuers world speak Animal-Appliance, but the highly intelligent mice taught themselves English to communicate with those they aid.
- In the Tarzan world, Animal-Appliance splintered into many individual languages due to the rough nature of life there. Even with Sabor dead, it is unlikely that Animal-Appliance will return in its original form.
- Perry the Platypus, Pluto, Figaro, Cleo, Herbie, and Snow White's forest creatures are all examples of beings who speak in Animal-Appliance, despite the lack of regular communication with others in this language. Perry rarely even speaks in general, hence why Phineas and Ferb couldn't understand him.
- Considering Shriyywook, Binary, or any other of the languages found in the Star Wars universe (as well as Groot) to be Animal-Appliance can be considered rather offensive to their speakers.
- An advanced form of Animal-Appliance exists, and can be used to control and command mundane creatures, using the thoughts of the speaker as a relay. Giselle and Squirrel Girl are examples of those who know this language.
- Chip and Dale and their team, despite usually just speaking normal languages at too high a pitch for many to understand, are capable of speaking this as a special cipher on missions.
- The Twilight Bark is another advanced form of the language, used as a signal to duty.
